Matthew Stafford’s time with the Detroit Lions has reportedly come to an end.

According to multiple reports, the Lions will trade Stafford before the start of next season. He’s been the team’s star quarterback ever since he was drafted first overall in 2009. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

It’s truly the end of an era in Detroit. I think I speak for fans everywhere when I say we all want to see Stafford go out and just dominate with a new team.

He deserves a hell of a lot more than what Detroit has given him since drafting the star gunslinger.

Detroit’s ability to waste talent and ruin careers is truly second to none. Stafford, Calvin Johnson and Barry Sanders were all amazing, and the team did nothing with them.

At least Stafford will have the chance to win elsewhere, which never happened for the other two stars.

Hopefully, he lands with the Colts. He could win a ton of games there, and I’d love to see it for the man who has been nothing but all class as the leader of the team.
