It’s the perfect time to watch “The Lord of the Rings” series.

While relaxing Sunday after a weekend of a few too many light beers, I noticed that the trilogy was streaming on Hulu, and I couldn’t pass it up. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

I fired up “The Fellowship of the Ring,” and immediately dived into the legendary story from J.R.R. Tolkien.

LOTR” is arguably the most famous book series ever written as it tells the story of Frodo Baggins and his companions as they try to destroy an evil ring.

I probably hadn’t seen “The Fellowship of the Ring” in at least five years. I honestly can’t remember the last time I watched it.

I own all the extended versions on DVD back in Wisconsin, but I haven’t watched them since I was in high school, which was more than a decade ago.

It’s truly spectacular how great the “LOTR” are in all aspects. The acting is incredible, the cinematography is second to none, the scale of the movies is unreal and everything about them was groundbreaking when “The Fellowship of The Ring” came out in 2001.

Now, with “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King” both streaming on HBO Max, I know what my plans are for the week.

If you haven’t seen the movies, I can’t suggest them enough. Even nearly two decades later, I’m not sure we’ve seen anything that can match “The Lord of the Rings.”

Fire them up on HBO Max ASAP!
