Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Rob Gronkowski faked his conditioning workouts when he joined the team.

The legendary tight end told the media Monday ahead of the Super Bowl that he had to film sprinting reps for the team, but not everything was as it appeared. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Gronk said he would swap out his shirts during a single session, and then send the videos in over the course of a few days to make it look like they were all new.

You can watch him explain the situation below.

This might be the least surprising story that I’ve ever heard from Gronk. Of course the dude faked his conditioning workouts.

Hell, it might have surprised me if he didn’t fake them. It’s the most Gronk story imaginable.

The crazy thing is that it’s so simple that it makes perfect sense. It’s so simple that the Bucs probably never even considered he was faking them.

All he had to do was change his shirt and nobody was any wiser.

Also, I heard Pat McAfee talk about how fishermen will sometimes do the same when taking pictures. That’s absolute insanity to me. What is the purpose of faking fish photos?
