Season two of the hit Netflix show “Outer Banks” has finished filming.

Jonathan Daviss, who plays Pope on the show, recently announced on Instagram that shooting on the highly-anticipated second season is over. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

“Goodbye Barbados, that’s a wrap on @obx season 2!!!I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this beautiful country. Can’t wait for you guys to see the amazing work our entire cast and crew did this season,” Daviss wrote for his 1.6 million followers.

It might surprise some of you, but I really did enjoy the first season of “Outer Banks.” Was it a bit cheesy? Without a doubt, but it still hooked me.

It’s about a group of friends searching for lost treasure and trying to solve the death of John B’s father! It had some serious “Goonies” vibes, but with more adult language and themes.

Now, we sit and wait for season two to arrive. Given the awesome ending to season one, I think it’s fair to say there are a lot of surprises still on the horizon.

If season two just wrapped filming, then I doubt we’re getting new episodes for at least a few months. Maybe, if we’re lucky, “Outer Banks” will be back by the end of August/early September.
