An Ohio State football fan sent an email for the ages when the Big 10 canceled the season.
Following the season initially getting canceled, a guy emailed OSU AD Gene Smith and compared the decision to the Marshall football plane crash in 1970 that left 75 people dead. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
“Our players will be perched by other schools, and it will essentially be like the Marshall plane crash for Ohio State football,” the man wrote. You can read the full email below in the tweet from Clay Travis.
The angry Ohio State fan emails are being released when it looked like the Big Ten wasn’t playing and so far this is my favorite. God bless college football fans everywhere. And their awful email analogies. pic.twitter.com/7phgGgB0kc

College football fans are truly the best and most entertaining people on the planet. That’s not up for debate. It’s just a fact.
College football fans are a different breed, and I 100% love it.

Now, am I going to endorse the comparison of canceling football games to the deadliest plane crash in the history of the sport?
No, but I’m also not going to condemn it. Football fans have a unique ability to draw incredible comparisons and make unreal analogies.
All I’ll say is that it should be left to the pros like myself. Trust me, if you’re in the trenches to save football, and thus the soul of a nation, then you’re welcome to make whatever comparisons you want.
I’ve spent the past 188 days fighting to save Big 10 football. Today, we accomplished the mission.
Much like the Osama Bin Laden raid or D-Day, you never know when your number will be called to serve. All you hope for is to execute your job and the mission.
We did just that.

Never change, football fans. Never change.
