Police released rapper DaBaby and did not file charges against him after he was detained for possible involvement in a Miami shooting Monday night.

“Mr. Kirk has been released by the police,” DaBaby’s lawyer Drew Findling confirmed to TMZ in a statement Tuesday. “No criminal charges have been filed against him.”

The shooting occurred Monday night around 11:30 p.m., law enforcement originally told TMZ. (RELATED: REPORT: DaBaby Detained After Alleged Involvement In Miami Shooting)

Rapper Wisdom and a man named Christopher Urena were arrested and charged with attempted murder among other things, TMZ reported. Urena was accused by police of shooting one of the victims in the back, according to the outlet. That victim reportedly remains in critical condition.

Wisdom allegedly shot the other victim in the leg.

Both victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, Local 10 News reported. One has been treated and released from the hospital, according to the outlet.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, but a source told Page Six that DaBaby and his crew allegedly got into an altercation after a car pulled up next to the group.

“DaBaby and his crew had an issue with people right next to them in the car,” the source claimed to the outlet. “DaBaby and his crew were traveling in around six SUVs, and either a car pulled up on them and started something or their doors hit each other and they got in a fight.

DaBaby and at least 12 members of his entourage were detained for questioning after the shooting, sources told Page Six.
