MMA fighter Joe Schilling clearly doesn’t regret knocking a guy out in a bar.

Schilling has been all over the internet ever since the trained fighter destroyed a guy during a bar altercation in brutal fashion. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Despite the fact that I thought it was completely unnecessary, the star fighter wants people to know that he didn’t have many choices in his mind.

According to BroBible, Schilling posted on his Instagram story that the man was rapping lyrics that made people uncomfortable, kept staring him down and then tried to flex on him.

Schilling also added that multiple employees thanked him after the fact, and he received a private message alleging that the man was abusive to women. You can see the screenshots here and here.

Look, I don’t have a problem with anyone defending themselves in a situation where it’s necessary. I don’t have a problem with it at all.

Sometimes, idiots force you into a corner and you have to do what you have to do. Look no further than the infamous Oklahoma football fight video for proof of that fact.

However, what I do have a problem with is that Schilling ever felt like he was in serious danger. I just refuse to believe that. The guy he hit was a fraction of his size, clearly not in a proper state of mind and was not a pro fighter.

Schilling had every advantage and could have walked away. If he was really worried about this guy, then he should have called the cops. Instead, he knocked him out.

I’m not saying the dude who got dropped was an angel. Obviously, that’s not the case, but let’s not pretend like this whole situation was necessary.
