The Minnesota Vikings have waived defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Vikings waived their sixth round draft pick Monday to make room for receiver DeDe Westbrook. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Twyman was shot multiple times while in Washington, D.C., back in June.

Man, Twyman has had a terrible run of luck lately. The dude got shot four times a little more than a month ago, and now he’s out of a job.

Imagine getting hit by four bullets shortly after getting drafted into the NFL and then getting waived about a month later.

I certainly hope the Vikings cut him off a bit of cash. He wasn’t doing anything wrong when he was shot. It was a classic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That bad luck has now cost him his job in the NFL. Hopefully, it didn’t cost him all of his money.

I just can’t imagine being drafted into the NFL, getting shot multiple times and then being released all over the course of a few months. How much worse could a person’s luck get?

Hopefully, he gets another crack in the league. You’d never want to see someone’s career end like this.
