The Colorado Rockies haven’t deleted the team’s tweet falsely accusing a fan of using a racial slur.

Sunday night, Twitter was set on fire after it sounded like an unnamed fan dropped the n-word while Lewis Brinson was batting. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

On Monday, it was determined that the fan was actually just attempting to flag down Rockies mascot Dinger.

Yet, the team’s tweet claiming to be “disgusted” and accusing the fan of using a “racial slur directed at the Marlins’ Lewis Brinson” is still very much up.

Not only is it up, but it’s gone viral. As of this moment, it has been retweeted thousands of times and liked more than 17,000 times.

So, despite the fact that the team has reportedly already determined that literally nothing wrong has happened, the tweet alleging a racist incident occurred is still up.

It’s been live for nearly 24 hours since the team reported to Steven Straeger that the situation was a giant mistake.

Furthermore, it’s been roughly 19 hours since the team itself admitted that nothing happened and the tweet is still up!

Notice how much less attention the correction has received.

The Rockies need to delete the team’s original tweet and apologize for leaving it up for so long.
