Former Packers tight end Jermichael Finley thinks Green Bay should possibly bench Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers and the Packers were absolutely atrocious week one against the Saints, and they play Monday night against the Lions. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Finley thinks if the franchise doesn’t see serious improvement from the legendary passer, he should be benched for young passer and heir apparent Jordan Love.

“If you don’t see it, let’s go to [Jordan] Love,” Finley recently told TMZ when talking about Rodgers having to improve his play.

You can watch his full comments below.

I hate to burst Finley’s bubble, but there’s no situation where Rodgers is getting benched for Jordan Love. That’s just not going to happen.

If Rodgers is healthy, he’ll be out on the field playing. It’s that simple. Anyone who thinks the Packers will bench the face of the team is delusional.

Did Rodgers look bad against the Saints? Yes, but the entire team looked like trash. In what world does throwing in a young backup improve your squad?

It almost never does. There’s a reason backups are backups. It’s because they’re not good enough to win the starting job.

Does anyone think if Love was great enough to play that he wouldn’t be?

Jordan Love is the future in Green Bay, but as long as Rodgers is on the roster, he’ll be starting. You’re just acting foolish if you think otherwise.
