Graham Mertz will start at quarterback for Wisconsin against Michigan this Saturday.
This past weekend against Notre Dame, Mertz had the worst game of his career, threw four interceptions, two pick sixes and had a fumble as the Fighting Irish scored 31 unanswered in the fourth quarter. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

You might think that stat line and performance might be enough to get Mertz benched after multiple terrible games.
RAPID REACTION: Wisconsin is terrible. I never want to see Graham Mertz play another game for the Badgers. pic.twitter.com/zqJdJimjxo

Well, you’d be wrong because Mertz is going to be under center against Jim Harbaugh’s team Saturday. When the depth chart was released Saturday, he was QB1!
Chase Wolf is still listed as QB2.

As my buddy texted me this past Saturday, at some point, you just have to sit back and laugh. At some point, you just have to recognize that all you can do is embrace the carnage.
Paul Chryst trotting Mertz back onto the field after what we’ve seen in every game for nearly a year is simply hilarious.
Either Mertz knows where the bodies are buried or Chase Wolf must be the world’s worst QB. Not giving Wolf a shot at this point makes me think that Mertz won’t ever get benched.
Against ranked teams, he’s been eaten alive and has thrown a single TD!

Over the weekend, I said I wasn’t going to watch the game if Mertz was starting, and I seriously might stick to that claim.
At some point, you just have to draw a line in the sand.
If Graham Mertz is starting at QB for Wisconsin next week against Michigan, I’m not watching the game.
I haven’t missed a game in at least 15 years, but I’m not watching this garbage. It’s that simple.

We’ll see how bad things get Saturday, but I’m seriously worried we’re going to get blown out.
